She Codes Too was honoured to welcome U.S. Ambassador Alina Romanowski to its recent graduation ceremony for the Data Analytics Program, where she addressed the 30 graduates and reaffirmed the United States' strong support for women in tech in Iraq.

In her speech, Ambassador Romanowski commended the graduates for their dedication and resilience, highlighting the growing importance of digital skills in today’s economy. She praised She Codes Too for delivering high-quality, hands-on training that prepares women for impactful careers in data and technology, and recognised the program as a powerful model for inclusive development.

“The work you’ve done here is not only impressive—it’s essential,” said Ambassador Romanowski. “Your skills in data analytics will contribute to solving real-world problems in business, health, education, and more. The U.S. Embassy is proud to support this initiative, and I am pleased to announce today that we will continue funding another round of this transformative program.”

Her remarks were met with enthusiasm from attendees, who included graduates, trainers, mentors, and partners of the program. Ambassador Romanowski’s announcement marked a major milestone for She Codes Too, ensuring more Iraqi women will have the opportunity to access advanced digital training and career development in the year ahead.

The event also welcomed representatives from several other diplomatic missions, including Rosy Cave, Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Baghdad, along with her team, and representatives from the Japanese Embassy in Iraq. Their presence further underscored the growing international recognition of She Codes Too’s impact in promoting women’s economic participation through technology.

This graduation marks the conclusion of a 7-month in-person training program in Front-end web development and Business, during which participants gained practical skills in Web, React, JS, and APIs. The program also included business training in finance and marketing, career development sessions, and a final capstone project where participants worked in teams to develop real-world web-based solutions.

With the continued support from the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, She Codes Too looks forward to welcoming a new cohort of learners, expanding the reach and impact of its mission to close the gender gap in tech and empower the next generation of women leaders in Iraq’s digital economy.
