On March 28, 2022, SCT, in collaboration with the University of Technology’s hosted an online seminar titled “Programming is for Everyone.” The session, held via Zoom as part of the Professional Networking Program (PNP), aimed to raise awareness about the importance of programming skills in Iraq’s evolving job market.
The seminar featured key discussions on why programming is essential in today’s world, who can learn it, and what opportunities exist for those with programming knowledge. Importantly, the session addressed common concerns, such as whether a university degree is needed to succeed in programming and what the specific job requirements are for programmers in Iraq.
Attendees from diverse backgrounds were encouraged to participate, as the event highlighted that programming is accessible to anyone, regardless of their educational or professional experience. The seminar drew attention to the rising demand for technical skills and emphasized how programming knowledge can unlock new career pathways, even for individuals who may not hold traditional degrees.
SCT remains committed to empowering individuals through accessible technology education, aiming to bridge the gender gap in tech and ensure that everyone, regardless of background, could thrive in the digital world.
