She Codes Too participated in the Iraq Britain Business Council (IBBC) Basrah Conference 2025, held on 3–4 December 2025, marking another important moment of engagement with Iraq’s private sector, policy, and education stakeholders.

The IBBC Basrah Conference is a high-level annual event that brings together business leaders, investors, policymakers, and education institutions from Iraq, the UK, and beyond to discuss economic development and future opportunities across key sectors.

She Codes Too founder and director, Raghad Al-Abboodi, participated in the IBBC Tech Forum, which explored the role of artificial intelligence in shaping Iraq’s economy and labour market. During the discussion, Raghad shared insights from She Codes Too’s work on increasing women’s employability in tech, with a particular focus on aligning skills development with the rapid evolution of AI and market demand.

Raghad highlighted the importance of continuously updating curricula to ensure participants remain connected to industry needs, especially as AI-driven roles expand across sectors. She spoke about how She Codes Too designs its programmes to combine technical training with career readiness, helping women build job-ready skills that support access to private sector opportunities.

Alongside the Tech Forum, Raghad also participated in a women’s roundtable discussion, which brought together diverse perspectives on women’s empowerment and expanding opportunities for women across Iraq’s workforce.

Reflecting on the conference, Raghad said:

“I really enjoyed being part of this important discussion with IBBC at the Basrah Conference 2025. I spoke about our work at She Codes Too and how we’re helping women in Iraq gain AI-driven, job-ready tech skills that match market needs. I’m grateful to the Iraq Britain Business Council for the invitation and the opportunity to share our mission and impact.”

She Codes Too’s participation in the IBBC Basrah Conference reflects its growing role in Iraq’s tech and skills ecosystem, and its continued commitment to ensuring women are not left behind as technology reshapes the future of work.
