She Codes Too has announced the graduation of 30 women from its latest Data Analytics program, a five-month, in-person training initiative that started late January concluded this June. The program aimed to equip women with practical data skills applicable to Iraq’s growing digital economy.
Participants, who came from a variety of academic backgrounds and were primarily based in Baghdad, with some also travelling from Anbar, completed an intensive curriculum that included Excel for data analysis, SQL, Power BI, and Python for data processing and visualisation. The training was designed to support learners in analysing complex datasets and drawing meaningful business insights.
In the final six weeks of the program, participants collaborated in teams to complete capstone projects. Each team tackled a real-world business problem using local case studies from sectors such as food services, fashion retail, and ride-hailing. Their work involved building dashboards and presenting data-driven solutions to industry-relevant challenges.
The program concluded on 28 June 2025 with a final showcase event hosted at Makers of Baghdad. Attended by industry professionals, trainers, and members of the She Codes Too community, the event featured formal presentations of the capstone projects. Attendees included representatives from technology companies and local businesses who provided feedback on the students’ work.
In addition to technical training, the program incorporated career development sessions and guest talks focused on professional skills, personal branding, and job readiness. These sessions were facilitated by She Codes Too staff, alumni, and invited speakers from the local and international private sector.
The Data Analytics program is implemented by She Codes Too. It forms part of the organisation’s broader mission to increase women’s participation in Iraq’s tech sector through hands-on training and career support.
She Codes Too will continue to support its graduates through mentorship, job placement efforts, and alumni engagement activities.
