She Codes Too (SCT) is proud to announce a new partnership with the UNDP Accelerator Labs – Iraq, with support from Baghdad Business School (BBS), to implement a 6-month web development bootcamp aimed at empowering women with modern digital skills and career readiness. The initiative is part of UNDP's broader efforts to foster local innovation and promote inclusive economic opportunities in Iraq.

This new bootcamp, scheduled to begin in April 2023 and run through October 2023, will train 20 women in front-end web development using industry-standard technologies, including React, APIs, and modern development workflows. The program will be delivered in person, combining intensive technical instruction with career preparation.

In addition to coding skills, participants will engage in career development sessions, receive support in building their professional profiles, and benefit from one-on-one mentorship with experts from both local and international tech communities. The mentorship component is designed to offer personalised guidance on career planning and industry expectations.

To culminate the program, each participant will work on a capstone project, applying their skills to solve real-world problems through functional, user-centric web applications. These final projects will be presented in a showcase event, giving learners an opportunity to demonstrate their achievements to peers, potential employers, and industry professionals.

This partnership with UNDP and BBS reflects She Codes Too’s continued commitment to bridging the gender gap in Iraq’s tech ecosystem. By focusing on hands-on experience, mentorship, and community support, the program aims to equip women not only with technical expertise but also with the confidence and professional networks to thrive in the technology sector.
