SCT Collaborates with UNITAR for a Session with Japanese Programming Students

An exciting exchange session was held between SCT participants and students studying programming in Japan, in collaboration with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). During the 90-minute session dialogues on the participants' shared motivations for pursuing programming was held. A special emphasis was put on the importance of empowering women in tech to reduce the gender gap. They also discussed the role of technology in advancing the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals and the key factors needed for growth in both regions in the coming years.
The session provided a platform for participants from both sides to share their perspectives and aspirations, highlighting the global significance of supporting women in programming. This collaboration was proof that connections like these are essential to promote inclusivity and diversity in the future of tech.
This session is just one of the many ways SCT is working to create opportunities for women and advance their skills in tech, underlining the importance of global cooperation and knowledge exchange.
