Celebrating the Graduates of the Introduction to Programming in C++ Short Course
📅 2022-03-29
SCT celebrated the graduation of 30 participants from its 3-week C++ Programming Course. The program, designed for beginners, welcomed women from various educational backgrounds, including high school students, university students, and graduates. Notably, we had participants who were mothers balancing their home responsibilities with their passion for learning. The graduation ceremony was filled with gratefulness and joy, as participants reflected on their journey.
The course, led by Abeer Al Nuaimi, covered the fundamentals of C++ programming. Abeer helped the participants gain a strong understanding of programming from scratch by simplifying complex concepts. The SCT team and volunteers also played a fundamental role in the success of the course by facilitating the sessions and providing constant support. This course offered an opportunity for women to dig into the world of coding and provided them with the necessary tools to advance in the field. Held online via Zoom, the sessions occurred twice a week, making it accessible for those with busy schedules.
The course represents another step towards breaking barriers for women in programming, and we are incredibly proud of all the graduates for their hard work and dedication.
