About the the Bootcamp

The Front-end development bootcamp is intensive 6-months bootcamp and which will using a curriculum provided by META. The curriculum consists of nine-courses aims to provide learners with foundational web development skills to build interactive web pages using HTML5, CSS and JavaScript. It also covers in-demand design skills to create professional page layouts using industry-standard tools such as Bootstrap, React, Figma, and Git. Lastly, it will prepare the participants for technical interviews for front-end developer roles.
After successfully completing the course requirements, each participant will receive a certificate provided by Meta in front-end development and be eligible to apply for jobs for web programmers.

Eligibility

The eligibe Applicant for this bootcamp needs to meet the following condition:

• Must be a woman, as the bootcamp is for women only.
• Have intermediate level in English, since the material of classes will be in English.
• Able to commit to attending the classes in-person in Baghdad for 4 hours/ week and 2 hours/week for online classes.
• Must be able to study at least 15 hours a week for 6 months.
• The applicant is not a university or institute student during the bootcamp.
• Unemployed or employed part-time, since the bootcamp will be intensive.
• Must be a resident of Baghdad or able to travel to Baghdad during the learning period, as the program will be mainly in-person.
• Interest in working in the private sector.
• Have a basic programming foundation.
• Have a great will and desire to learn and be able to study on their own.
• Must have a computer and internet access.

The Bootcamp Length and Study Hours

The front-end development bootcamp is intensive course for 6-months. The classes will be 4 hours/week in-person and 2 hours/week online. Each participent is expected to study at least 15 hours a week for the period of the 6-months.

About the Curriculum

The curriculum of this bootcamp pre-designed by the software engineering experts at Meta—the creators of Facebook and Instagram, will prepare you for a career as a front-end developer. In this bootcamp the student will start from a foundation of web development, up to advanced level, also will use the tools of web development that are required to start a career with international and local companies. Training Hours and Location

The training will be a combination of in-class training for one day a week, and for the rest of the week it will be online. There are also hours for self-study by the student. The location of the training will be at the BBS headquarters in Baghdad/Mansour/Yarmouk.

Starting and Ending Data of the bootcamp.

The bootcamp is expected to start on 29 April 2023 and end by 29 October 2023.

The Trainers

In addition to delivering the curriculum in class, the trainers will also follow up on participants' learning progress, guide them, and support their self-study. Mentors will provide one-on-one support, answer participants' questions, and offer guidance.

Professional Certificate

Upon successful completion of the Web Development Bootcamp, all alumni from this bootcamp will get a professional certificate from Meta, also She Code Too will give a certificate of completion of the Bootcamp. All alumni will get access to the Meta Career Programs Job Board—a job search platform that connects you with 200+ employers, as well as career support resources to help you with your job search. Upon successful completion of the bootcamp, She Codes Too will coordinate internships and jobs for participants with International or local companies in the field of web development.

Refundable Tuition Fees

The tuition fees for the front-end development bootcamp is free of charge. There will be payment of $500 which will be fully refunded to all participants upon graduation and successful completion of the bootcamp. This amount will be paid during the first month from the beginning of the training, and upon graduation, the participant will receive the full amount. The aim of this is to contribute to encouraging our participants to take an interest in the training and complete it successfully. Please apply even if you do not have the ability to pay the amount, due to the availability of scholarships for the applicants.

To receive priority consideration, please submit your application as soon as possible, do not wait until the last minute. Shortlisted will be contacted for the technical test and interviews.
